He was the CEO of a national chain of retail stores with a turnover in excess of R2,7
billion – which he grew from R900 million is just 5 years. His forte is strategic planning within all types of business enterprises. “How can you do the same things over again yet expect a different result?” is generally the premise David works from and loves Innovation and Differentiation. Within The Two Old Dogs he first seeks to apply and understand commercial sense to a business problem and then define the appropriate marketing strategy and communication choices.

David has a wide variety of interests which he pursues as often as and enthusiastically as possible  including Fly Fishing, Wildlife Photography, Golf, Ornithology, Cooking and is a qualified Private Pilot, type rated on three different aircraft and is night rated as well, he is also a qualified Dive Master. He is an Ex-member of the international YPO (Young Presidents Organisation) and Round Table organisation.
